The T-116 is a Soviet tier 3 premium light tank that was developed in 1937 as a new reconnaissance tank. The tank was based on the Swedish Landsverk L-30 wheeled/tracked tank, but with a modified turret and armament. The tank was supposed to have a wheel-track type of the BT series and a mass of 8 metric tons. However, the requirements changed and the tank had to be equipped with a 45 mm or a 37 mm gun and a three-man crew. The project was cancelled in 1938 and only one prototype was built.
In World of Tanks, the T-116 is a fast and agile light tank that can scout, flank, and harass the enemy. It has a good gun with decent penetration and damage, as well as a high rate of fire. It also has good camouflage and view range, making it hard to spot and easy to spot others. However, the T-116 also has many drawbacks that limit its combat effectiveness. Its armor is very thin and can be easily penetrated by any shell. Its gun has low accuracy, aiming time, and gun depression, making it hard to hit targets at long range or from behind cover.
The T-116 is a unique and challenging tank that can be very rewarding for experienced players who know how to use its strengths and avoid its weaknesses. It is not a tank for everyone, but it can be a lot of fun for those who like stealthy and sneaky gameplay.
