The D.W. 2 is a German heavy tank that was developed in the late 1930s, based on the chassis of the D.W. 1, a prototype of a medium tank. The D.W. 2 was designed by the Henschel und Sohn company as part of a heavy tank program that aimed to create a breakthrough tank with a 7.5 cm gun. The D.W. 2 had a weight of 30 tons and an armor thickness of up to 50 mm. One prototype was built in 1938 and underwent trials on the Aberdeen Proving Ground. However, the project was canceled in September 1939, as the VK 30.01 project was preferred by the German Army. The D.W. 1 and D.W. 2 prototypes were used for testing purposes until 1941.

It has a top speed of 35 km/h and a power-to-weight ratio of 8.35 hp/t, which make it quite sluggish. It has a view range of 330 m and a signal range of 310 m, which are both average for its tier and class.
