The Super Hellcat is an American tank destroyer that was developed during World War II, based on the chassis of the M18 Hellcat. It was armed with the powerful 90 mm gun that was used on the M36 Jackson tank destroyer. The idea was to combine the high mobility and low profile of the M18 with the superior firepower of the 90 mm gun. One prototype was built that underwent trials on the Aberdeen Proving Ground. However, the project was canceled due to the end of the war and the prototype was scrapped.
In World of Tanks, the Super Hellcat is a tier 7 premium tank destroyer that can perform well in different roles and situations. It has a reliable frontal armor, a fast-firing gun, and good mobility. The Super Hellcat can snipe, flank, brawl, or support depending on the needs of the team. The Super Hellcat requires good situational awareness, positioning, and angling to make the most of its strengths and minimize its drawbacks.
The Super Hellcat has an alpha damage of 240 with its standard AP shells, which is average for its tier and class. It has a penetration value of 167 mm with AP shells, which is decent but not outstanding. It has a rate of fire of 7.5 rounds per minute, which gives it a good damage per minute of 1800. It has an aiming time of 1.7 seconds and a dispersion value of 0.35 m at 100 m, which are both good for its tier and class. It has a top speed of 72 km/h and a power-to-weight ratio of 23.54 hp/t, which make it very fast and agile. It has a view range of 370 m and a signal range of 570 m, which are both average for its tier and class.
