The ELC EVEN 90 is a French light tank that was developed in the late 1950s as part of the ELC (Engin Léger de Combat, Light Combat Vehicle) program. The goal of the program was to create a light aeromobile tank for fire support purposes, that could be airlifted by helicopters or transport planes. The vehicle had small dimensions and high maneuverability, and was armed with a 90 mm low-pressure gun in a casemate turret. A total of 10 pilot vehicles with different types of armament were produced, but the ELC EVEN 90 was the most advanced and successful one. They underwent trials, but the vehicle never entered mass production, as the French Army decided to focus on the development of the AMX-13 light tank instead.
In World of Tanks, the ELC EVEN 90 is a Tier VIII premium light tank that has some unique characteristics. It is one of the smallest vehicles in the game, which gives it an excellent camouflage value and allows it to hide behind almost any cover. It also has great mobility and a top speed of 70 km/h, which makes it ideal for scouting and flanking. However, it also has some drawbacks, such as low survivability, low damage per shot, long reload time, and poor accuracy. It is equipped with a three-shell autoloader that can deal 660 damage in 4 seconds, but then has to wait for 38 seconds to reload. It also has a long aiming time of 2.9 seconds and a high dispersion of 0.38 m at 100 m. Therefore, it is not very effective at long-range engagements or dueling with other light tanks. It is best played as a passive scout that can spot enemies from a safe distance and use its camouflage to avoid detection, or as an active scout that can use its speed and size to dodge enemy fire and relocate quickly.
