ELC EVEN 90 | WoT Best Replays

by iFacePalm

The ELC EVEN 90 is a French light tank that was developed in the late 1950s as part of the ELC (Engin Léger de Combat, Light Combat Vehicle) program. The program aimed to create a light tank that could be airlifted and used for fire support and reconnaissance. The ELC EVEN 90 was one of the two prototypes that were built under the program, along with the ELC AMX. Both tanks had a similar design, with a two-man crew, a 90 mm gun, and an oscillating turret. However, the ELC EVEN 90 had a smaller and more asymmetrical turret, mounted on the left side of the hull.

The ELC EVEN 90 also had a lower profile and a higher camouflage value than the ELC AMX. The ELC EVEN 90 was never mass-produced or adopted by the French army. The main reason was that the ELC program was cancelled in 1961, due to budget cuts and changing military requirements. The French army decided to focus on developing more conventional light tanks, such as the AMX-13 and the AMX-30. The ELC EVEN 90 remained as an experimental vehicle, and only one prototype was built. It is currently preserved at the Musée des Blindés in Saumur, France.

In World of Tanks, the ELC EVEN 90 is a Tier VIII premium light tank. It is one of the smallest and stealthiest vehicles in the game, with excellent camouflage values and mobility. It can perform well as a passive scout, hiding in bushes and spotting enemies for its team. It can also use its speed and agility to flank enemies and harass them with its autoloader gun. However, the ELC EVEN 90 also has some drawbacks, such as low survivability, long reload time, poor accuracy, and low damage per minute. It requires careful positioning, good map awareness, and skillful use of cover to avoid being detected and destroyed.
