The Char Futur 4 is a French medium tank that was developed in the late 1960s as part of the AMX-30 program. It was intended to be a futuristic and modular tank, capable of adapting to different combat scenarios. It had a new hull, turret, and suspension, and was armed with a 105 mm gun and a coaxial 12.7 mm machine gun. It also had a four-round autoloader, a hydro-pneumatic suspension, and a composite armor that was resistant to HEAT shells. However, the Char Futur 4 was never completed or tested, and only existed as a concept.
In World of Tanks, the Char Futur 4 is a Tier IX reward medium tank that can be obtained from special events or missions. It is one of the few medium tanks that has an autoloader, which gives it a high burst damage and flexibility. It also has a good mobility, gun depression, and view range, which make it an effective scout and flanker.
However, the Char Futur 4 also has many drawbacks that limit its performance. It has a low penetration, accuracy, and shell velocity for its gun, which makes it struggle against well-armored targets. It has a weak armor, large profile, and poor camouflage value, which expose it to enemy fire. It has a long reload time and intra-clip reload time for its autoloader, which reduce its combat effectiveness.
