The T-44 is a Soviet medium tank that was developed in the mid-1940s as a successor to the T-34-85. The former has better rate of fire, accuracy, and aiming time, while the latter has better penetration, damage, and alpha strike.
The T-44 is a versatile and adaptable tank that can perform well in different roles and situations. It has good mobility, maneuverability, and acceleration, allowing it to flank, circle, or chase enemies. It has a decent turret armor that can bounce some shots, especially when using its good gun depression. It has a high rate of fire and good accuracy, making it effective at medium to close range combat.
However, the T-44 also has some weaknesses that need to be considered. It has a weak hull armor that can be easily penetrated by enemies. It has a low alpha damage and penetration compared to other Tier VIII medium tanks, which can limit its effectiveness against heavily armored targets. It has a low view range and poor camouflage value, making it vulnerable to spotting and sniping. It has a high repair cost and low profitability, which can affect its economy.
