The ELC EVEN 90 is a French light tank that was developed in the late 1950s as part of the ELC (Engin Léger de Combat) program. The goal of the program was to create a light and mobile tank destroyer that could be airlifted and deployed quickly. The ELC EVEN 90 was one of the proposals made by engineer Even of the Etablissements Brunon-Valette, a small company that had no experience in tank design. The vehicle had a very low profile and was armed with a 90 mm gun in a casemate turret. However, the project was never mass-produced and only one prototype and 10 pre-production vehicles were built.
The ELC EVEN 90 was introduced to World of Tanks as a tier 8 premium light tank in 2018. It is one of the smallest and stealthiest vehicles in the game, with an excellent camouflage value and high mobility. It can use its size and speed to spot enemies and avoid detection, or to flank and surprise them with its autoloader gun. The gun has a 3-shell magazine that can deal decent damage in a short time, but it also has a long reload time, low penetration, and poor accuracy. The vehicle also has very weak armor and low hit points, which means it can be destroyed easily if caught in the open or in close combat.
The ELC EVEN 90 is a unique and challenging tank to play, as it requires skill and strategy to use its strengths and compensate for its weaknesses.
